Ensuring safe endoscopes for patients

As quality and safety are top priorities for WASSENBURG, the organisation is ISO 13485 certified – guaranteeing a controlled environment for the development and manufacture of endoscope reprocessing products.

The company’s endoscope washer-disinfectors meet the requirements of ISO 15883 parts 1 and 4 and HTM 01-06, while type-testing is carried out by independent laboratories. Ensuring complete cleaning and disinfection, both the Wassenburg WD440 top-loader and WD440 pass-through machines feature an innovative basin and helical tube system. Fluid flow in the helical tube lifts the distal end from the wall, allowing fluid to contact it everywhere.

Process Manager II and Process Manager II Plus registration and traceability software are designed to support the user in achieving compliance with applicable quality systems. Process Manager software also enables the analysis of the collected process data to provide the user with valuable insights into their reprocessing equipment. All process records are presented in clear and detailed reports, providing a complete overview of the steps that occur during a process.

The process report for the washerdisinfector details information on process chemicals and internal filters used during a specific reprocessing cycle, such as batch number and expiry date. The software also provides details on the endoscope, the user and the patient that last came into contact with the endoscope, ensuring complete traceability.
