SYNERGY HEALTHCARE has invested in developing a total infection control solution suitable for use in a wide range of healthcare settings which offer high levels of performance against a wide range of harmful microorganisms including MRSA, SARS and C. difficile. AirCleanse has been developed to address airborne transmission and simply needs to be connected to mains electricity in the room where decontamination is required.
Synergy has also launched a range of surface and personal hygiene products to help manage transmission of infection through contact with surfaces and personal contact.
The Assure Plus range of products comprises wipes, surface cleaners and a hand mousse and has been developed for use by staff in acute care settings. The products utilise Byotrol antimicrobial technology and are proven to be effective against MRSA and C. difficile as well as a wide range of other harmful microorganisms.
An independently supervised six-month study of the Byotrol technology incorporated into the Assure range, found that application of the technology to around 5% of the hard surfaces within an acute ward setting resulted in a 50% reduction in the presence of MRSA.
