Alzheimer’s drug breakthrough

Research published in the Journal of Neuroinflammation claims that the drug Etanercept can start to reverse the early symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease within ten minutes.

Scientists from the University of California and the University of Southern California report that an 81-year old male patient showed rapid improvements after an injection of the drug into his spine. The Alzheimer’s Research Trust points out that further work is required to establish whether it is safe and works in a larger number of patients.
