Steelco washer-disinfectors have been supplied to Chesterfield Royal Hospital by PEACOCKS MEDICAL GROUP. The sterile services manager at Chesterfield, Kath Saxelby, was part of the evaluation team in deciding on purchasing the washerdisinfectors. The decision was based on cost and quality.
Steelco offered both electrical and steam drying, but the hospital chose the latter. The change over to operating an auto loading system and the larger 15 Din tray machines by the staff was generally smooth and now is accepted as energy saving and efficient, reducing the manual handling requirement.
