Expansion in renal dialysis

The company has completed the purchase and transfer of the renal dialysis and consumables business of BM Browne. This acquisition, via a new distribution agreement, is geared to maximising the quality of patient service delivered at Avitum’s seven renal units in England and Wales. The deal will ensure B Braun Avitum can provide a one-stop shop for the treatment of chronically ill kidney patients.

B Braun Avitum was created last year with the acquisition of Baxter Healthcare’s renal therapy services business which now provides kidney dialysis treatment and services to more than 620 NHS patients in seven renal units.
