Full traceability

MATRIX MARKING provides a system for the identification of surgical instruments. The Matrix Marking system enables full traceability for asset management, infection control and patient safety.

Utilising dot peen code marking more than 99% of any size or shape, of any metal type or finish, can be marked and read. The method does not damage the instruments, will last the life of the instruments, is easy for SSD staff to operate and is cost effective.

After only a very short training period hospital SSD staff can carry out the marking of instruments. The instruments can therefore be marked on site when they become available.

A range of code sizes allows marking to be equally effective on large orthopaedic instruments and the small delicate ophthalmic or neurosurgery instruments.
