The Hammersmith Hospitals NHS Trust has awarded SRC the contract to deploy WinScribe digital dictation and Nuance speech recognition systems throughout the Histopathology department at Hammersmith Hospital and Charing Cross Hospital. The new solutions will help reduce labour intensive processes by automating and streamlining the way that doctors/consultants capture, manage and create documents.
Digital dictation
The WinScribe digital dictation system has been tailored for the Histopathology department to provide a hands-free method for doctors/consultants to dictate using wireless headsets and pneumatic foot pedals in cut up rooms. As part of the deployment SRC will also provide a Dragon Speech Recognition solution to the Trust. The solution will now be supplied to over 25 consultants at the Trust.
