Deal could see NHS receive pay increases ‘almost immediately’

NHS staff in England could receive pay increases of more than 6% over the next three years, in a deal worth £4 billion.

According to BBC News, if the deal is approved by unions and ministers, the pay rises could be implemented ‘almost immediately’, with workers on the lowest salaries receiving the biggest annual rise.

Staff on the Agenda for Change contract include nurses, paramedics and porters, all of whom would benefit if the tiered deal is approved.
