A decade of fighting infection

Over 800 delegates and 100 exhibitors came together for Infection Prevention 2017. Organised by the Infection Prevention Society (IPS), the event took place at Manchester Central from 18-20 September.

The Infection Prevention Society’s mission is that ‘no person is harmed by a preventable infection’. This year marked a special occasion for the Society as they celebrated 10 years of the Infection Prevention Society. In recognition of this momentous event, Infection Prevention 2017 featured presentations from the current and five past presidents, as well as a host of other experienced and influential infection prevention leaders who shared insights, and intelligence as to where infection prevention will go next.

This year’s scientific programme welcomed an array of renowned speakers offering delegates the latest in infection prevention research, education and expertise. With so much to offer throughout the three-day multi-stream programme below is a summary of some of the sessions.
