Intra-operative 3D imaging

Siemens Medical Solutions has introduced a new mobile C-arm, the Arcadis Orbic, with intra-operative 3D imaging capabilities to generate 3D images directly in the operating room (OR). This C-arm raises the bar for intra-operative 3D imaging and navigation, making surgical interventions more precise.

Arcadis Orbic 3D is ideal for customers seeking additional, powerful enhancements of the clinically proven and highly successful Siremobil Iso-C3D, which continues to deliver positive outcomes in complex spine and orthopaedic surgery. It features an isocentric design and 190° orbital movement that enables 3D imaging. The new mobile C-arm is suited for intra-operative 3D imaging of bones and joints of the upper and lower extremities; cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine; pelvis and hip; and maxillofacial areas.

Designed with the highest standard of image quality in mind, Arcadis Orbic 3D incorporates a fully digital 1024 x 1024 imaging chain, from image acquisition to image processing and documentation. Additionally, the device provides higher power and faster scan times: 3D image data acquisition with 50 or 100 images is now completed in only 30 or 60 seconds and can be repeated as often as necessary to include any anatomical changes that may occur in the OR field during surgery.
