LAERDAL has launched a new concept in training and assessment of CPR techniques – the fully automated Resusci Anne Skills Centre.
Michael Sautter, Laerdal’s global product manager, said: “In order to adhere to the quality of CPR principles and help save more lives, we have developed a fully customisable system that can objectively assess staff’s CPR techniques in line with the 2005 guidelines, provide data on their level of competency, certify them as competent or allow them extra training time to be reassessed. The system is available in mobile and static versions that, requiring no instructor input, are available for use 24 hours a day, encouraging people to train or be assessed at a time that suits them.”
The Resusci Anne Skills Station can be customised to meet any level of training or organisational requirements. The person undertaking assessment simply logs on to the computerised system, watches a demonstration video and then practises compressions and/or ventilation on a connected manikin. If necessary, automated verbal feedback is given during compressions and ventilation.
