Lodestone Patient Care has installed a range of high performance imaging systems from Siemens Medical Solutions at the BMI Sloane Hospital in Beckenham, Kent, part of the BMI Healthcare group.
Local referrers will be using the systems for advanced cardiac and angiography imaging, mammography and a range of general applications including whole body scanning. The choice of new systems was based on their advanced technology, ease of use and the flexibility to be used to provide enhanced services over a wide range of modalities including MRI techniques.
Lesley Harmes, radiology manager for Lodestone Patient Care said: “We are delighted with the new scanners, not to mention impressed with the installation, which was only six weeks from start to finish. We can now offer both CT and MRI services, with the new scanners allowing us to performcardiac imaging, peripheral angiography, diagnostic mammography, whole body scanning and spectroscopy. These valuable new capabilities enable us to develop and expand our surgical services and provide a greatly enhanced quality and speed of service to patients and clinicians alike. Ease of use and workflow is greatly improved across all four systems with the intuitive Siemens syngo user interface creating a common look and feel, shortening the learning curve and improving workflow.
