DPNRL double glove system

Surgical gloves are an important infection prevention tool for surgeons, however, they are vulnerable to punctures and perforations that can be difficult to detect, especially when obscured by bodily fluids.

The Biogel Eclipse Reveal system consists of a green Biogel inner glove and a standard Biogel outer glove, both made from DPNRL, minimising the risk of latex allergy. It provides the wearer with an immediate, easily recognisable visual indication of glove puncture in the presence of fluid, providing a precaution against the risks to the surgical team from infection.

If the outer glove is punctured, ingress of fluid through the puncture hole is clearly visible as a dark green patch around the site of the puncture; the effect is purely visual and there is no leaching of dye.

The gloves are powder free and have an anatomical shape for optimum fit and comfort without compromising the surgical touch.
