BRANDON MEDICAL has worked with the Peninsula NHS Treatment Centre in Plymouth, Devon, to supply a host of state-of-the-art medical products.
The centre recently invested more than £2 million to deliver a third operating theatre and a new endoscopy suite which will allow for the treatment of an additional 1,000 NHS patients in theatre and 3,500 in endoscopy.
The company’s ‘complanate’ Mediclean Ultra Clean Ventilation system was installed as part of the refurbishment of Theatre 3. The ergonomic UCV fits completely flush to the ceiling without the need for air deflectors or side screens, causing no obstruction to medical equipment local to it.
Fitted alongside the UCV is Brandon’s bestselling Quasar eLite 6030 light combination, offering the brightest light beams on the market. Four of Brandon’s bespoke and customisable Atlas Pendants were supplied. Two rigid pendants and two retractable pendants were installed to meet the clinical requirements of the facility.
Brandon also supplied minor surgical lighting and examination lighting, installing the ultra-slim Astramax HD-LED and the compact Coolview CLED11FX. The powerful Astramax offers a 150,000 Lux light output and rivals much larger surgical lights.
The flexible Coolview CLED11FX offers bright, natural light and is easy to position thanks to its spring-balanced arm technology.
Two membrane type surgeon’s control panels were installed by Brandon. The futureproof membrane type control panel can easily be reconfigured to allow for control of new products introduced in the clinical area after the installation.
