Delivering quality orthopaedic care

Fortius Group, the UK’s leading private orthopaedic and sports injury group, has opened a new state-of-the-art day surgery centre in central London. The Clinical Services Journal editor Alec Peachey was invited to take a look around.

When you first enter Fortius’s orthopaedic surgical centre the first thing that strikes you is a feeling of quality.

Perhaps given the newness of this facility, which can be found in the heart of Marylebone, it is an obvious thing to state. But when you hear about the challenges overcome to get the centre up and running, it is quite an achievement.

The 12,500 square foot facility includes three operating theatres, two with laminar flow, a dedicated anaesthetic room, and a five bed recovery area. The ward comprises of five private en-suite rooms, and seven day case pods.
