MODERNISING NURSING CAREERS – A NEW REPORT

Department of Health chief nursing officer Christine Beesley has launched a new report setting the context and framework for nursing careers in order that the profession is able to meet the challenges of changing patient need into the future.

The report outlines the way in which nursing is envisaged to change, how healthcare has already changed and makes recommendations on how to retain core values for nurses and patients, while reflecting the need to always be moving forward. “Modernising nursing careers: setting the direction” is available as a download and will no doubt be the first document in a series due to be published over the next year.
