New OR display technology

Anew multimedia digital display station of patient data designed for operating theatres has been launched by ISIS of France.

The company, which specialises in computerbased systems for surgical environments, is looking for European distributors for the product, which they have called SurgiMedia.

ISIS claims that the SurgiMedia is the only piece of equipment for operating theatres on the market that combines DICOM pre-operative images, intra-operative video, and postoperative back up on a single system.

They claim the product is upgradeable and adaptable, and resolves the problem of how to make patient data available both to the surgeon during surgery and to the IT department, which has to then make it compatible with the network and/or the data archiving system.

”A touch screen and user-friendly icons on the start-up screen make the SurgiMedia an easy-to-use and ergonomic device,” claim the makers.
