Calderdale & Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust are realising significant savings through the introduction of the new maceratable Conti Washcloth within the Trust.
SYNERGY HEALTH’s maceratable patient wipe has been used at Huddersfield Royal Hospital for over four years. However, when the new Conti Washcloth was introduced, the Trust decided to carry out a product evaluation, with a view to standardising their wipes usage across the Trust. This involved replacing the alternative nonmaceratable wipes they were using at Calderdale Royal Hospital.
“The Conti Washcloth was preferred as it was thicker, more absorbent and staff used less in comparison,” said Jaqui Yuen, system and process manager. “This standardisation across both hospitals will deliver a saving to the Trust of over £8,000 per year.”
