Lightweight polypropylene container

WARWICK SASCO has introduced the SMT5510 – a long-life, re-usable, polypropylene container which is ideal for assisting in the disinfection and sterilisation of rigid scopes, Da Vinci Scopes and long instruments. Product benefits include:

  • Reduction of scope decontamination and sterilisation time.
  • Space saving during processing.
  • Reduction in instrument damage, costly repairs and disruption to surgery time.
  • Reduction of packing time and wrapping costs.

The mesh base, sides and lid allow maximum water penetration and steam circulation, while the moveable silicone grips hold scopes and instruments in place reducing damage to instruments during cleaning, sterilisation and transportation. Other key features include the raised floor and internal curves, which provide rapid water draining and improved drying results, along with smooth corners and edges to prevent damage to wrapping papers.

The container has holes for traceability and security tags, is stackable for easy storage, and is lightweight, strong and durable. It can be sterilised by autoclave, ethylene oxide or hydrogen plasma.
