Copal contains specialised cements to support the requirement of revision arthroplasty. Solutions available include:
- Copal G+C with the addition of Gentamicin and Clindamycin for implant
fixation and Copal spacem, which is especially suited for moulding of temporary spacers as part of two-stage revisions.
- Copal G+V bone cement for septic revision contains gentamicin and vancomycin. This combination works specifcally against methicillin-resistant pathogens (MRSA/MRSE) in bone and joint infections.
