The devices allow for effective infection control and are said to have recently become a part of the fight against the spread of Ebola and other infectious diseases as, being non-touch, they provide added protection to healthcare professionals.

The sensor technology of the MedTemp1 device offers good accuracy, while upcoming products in the range will allow healthcare professionals to take a patient’s temperature from a distance of nine inches away.
Staff will also be able to update a patient’s medical files at the push of a button, by combining Wi-Fi and infrared technology.
