Single-use devices for hard-to-clean instruments

An average of 7% to 10% of hospitalised patients and as many as 30% of critically ill patients acquire infection in hospital in the UK.

Infections developed during surgical procedures occur because of a lack of cleanliness of the medical devices, equipment or personnel in contact with the patient.

A safe step towards total cleanliness is to replace hard-to-clean devices with disposables. In response, SINGLE USE SURGICAL was asked to develop devices for one of the most critical areas of surgical intervention: fine lumen suction tubes. With more than 45 different instruments and a quality widely recognised by the healthcare profession, Single Use Surgical is now chosen by many of the major operating centres.
