ECOLAB has launched a new programme for operating theatres, designed to improve productivity and efficiency, as well as to realise cost-savings.
Concentrating on a holistic approach that incorporates a system of hygiene products, services and training, the programme addresses all aspects of contamination risk, throughout the surgical pathway. From preoperative skin antisepsis to surgical hand hygiene, equipment protection and environmental cleaning, patient safety is maximised. One example is the company’s monitoring system for environmental hygiene, EnCompass, which is said to address contamination risk in this specialised environment and improve cleaning standards in the operating theatre.
