ECRI INSTITUTE is an independent, not-forprofit health services research agency, whose mission is to improve the safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness of healthcare.
ECRI’s focus is healthcare technology, healthcare risk, quality management and patient safety. It provides information services and technical assistance to more than 5,000 hospitals and healthcare organisations, worldwide. Its membership programmes include, web based services, medical device/medical technology evaluation and guidance, health technology assessment information, biomedical benchmarking tools, applied scientific research in healthcare, the Health Devices Journal (monthly publication), medical device specifications, plus procurement support and advice.
