Reprocessing landmark

The introduction of the new Olympus ETD3 endoscope washer-disinfector places OLYMPUS at the forefront of endoscope reprocessing technology as the only flexible endoscope manufacturer offering an automated endoscope reprocessing system.

Developed in Europe, the ETD series has evolved over the last decade, culminating in a fully validated system. In collaboration with Miele and Ecolab, Olympus has developed an automated endoscope reprocessor and reprocessing solutions specifically designed and independently validated for optimum cleaning efficacy and tested for material compatibility with Olympus flexible endoscopes.

Olympus has a unique insight into how best to ensure efficient endoscope reprocessing and reliable irrigation of complex internal channel systems.

The Olympus ETD3 has been designed to meet the forthcoming standard EN 15883-4. Specialist engineers at OLYMPUS KEYMED have undergone extensive training to enable validation of the Olympus ETD3 to the requirements of HTM 2030 installation, quarterly and annual test standards.

Olympus KeyMed has a national network of fully trained field service engineers and HTM 2030 test persons strategically placed to provide a rapid response to an emergency call out.
