Inherently sterile fabric

Featured on the PANAZ stand at the ICNA exhibition will be examples of the company’s pioneering Shield, an inherently sterile fabric for window and cubicle draperies, blinds and accessories in healthcare environments.

Flame retardant to BS 5867 Part 2 Type B, Shield incorporates active anti-microbial agents which eliminate the propagation of bacteria and hence reduce the risk of cross-contamination. Stain resistant, Shield also repels water and oil-based solutions, and is even designed to be washed and steamed in situ without any adverse effect on its anti-bacterial and flame retardant properties. Considerable savings in curtain removal and replacement can therefore be achieved.

All designs in the Panaz portfolio of printed concepts for the healthcare sector are available on Shield basecloth, reproduced on both sides for maximum effect. Bespoke designs are also an option. Panaz is an approved supplier to the NHS, carrying National Contract Reference B/3/N/2057G.
