Software milestones reached

The first is the acquisition of Care Records, the culmination of two years working together to develop the new ‘eclipse Maternity Information System’ (MIS). Combining Care Records’ expertise in clinical record systems with Huntleigh’s experience in fetal monitoring products and software systems, ‘eclipse MIS’ is uniquely positioned to address the needs of today’s maternity services.

The second is the decision by Surrey & Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust to replace its existing maternity system with ‘eclipse MIS’ and to work with Huntleigh on the first pilot site. ‘eclipse MIS’ has been developed in close consultation with leading clinicians in the UK and provides a unique and seamless solution to maternity information management and electronic archiving of CTGs.

Its flexible design makes it ideal for upgrading existing systems, allowing existing clinical workflows to continue while adding a wealth of new features such as real-time intrapartum care and CTG monitoring and archiving.

This first pilot site will be followed by another in the North of England, and a growing number of hospitals throughout the UK are showing interest in adopting ‘eclipse MIS’ as their preferred solution.
