GOJO has announced that its Purell brand will become the first third-party certified sustainable sanitiser available to the European market.
Purell, a hand sanitiser that combines both antimicrobial efficacy and proven skin health maintenance, is already certified by Ecologo, an environmental standard and certification mark for North America. Ecologo provides customers in Canada – public, corporate and consumer – with assurance that the products and services bearing the logo meet stringent standards of environmental leadership. However, Ecologo is now evolving into UL, and with this change it will also be expanding its certifications to cover Europe. As a result, GOJO will be the first to market in Europe with UL certification within the hand hygiene category. GOJO’s soap formulations already hold EU Ecolabel certification, so this additional endorsement confirms the company’s status as a manufacturer of environmentally sustainable hand hygiene solutions.
