Megadyne, a US-based electrosurgical pioneer and product innovator, has appointed INTER GLOBAL SURGICAL as the exclusive UK distributor for its portfolio of products which includes the E-Z Clean electrode tips and the Ultra Vac smoke evacuation system.
More than 250 Megadyne products are available in the UK from Inter Global Surgical, offering hospitals and clinician’s a range of innovative equipment to help make operating theatres safer working environments for both patients and staff. The company’s flagship product is the MegaSoft return electrode pad, which can help remove the risk of burns to the patient. In the 45 million surgical procedures that have already taken place using the pad, there have been no burns, in comparison with more than 100 on average per year as a result of using the standard disposable dual plate patient return electrode products. This innovative product has received final guidance from NICE, an achievement which highlights the merit of the pad.
