Eliminating repetitive strain

SERCHEM has been working on a project to address the potential repetitive strain issues being faced by a growing number of endoscopy unit staff due to the manual syringe process of the flexible endoscopes in the primary clean.

The Scopetech system removes the need for manual syringing but also benefits from a built-in leak tester and flush pump to ensure a thorough first stage decontamination is conducted. This, in turn, reduces AER failures as the first stage clean is more stringent. Not only does the unit incorporate flow meter technology to ensure precise dosage is provided it also provides traceability as per requirements of CFP1-06 guidelines for leak testing and the manual wash process.
