SCHÜLKE will be presenting the winners of its 2012 Hand Hygiene awards with their trophies at IPS on its exhibition stand. The awards aim to recognise and reward hand hygiene initiatives that ‘go the extra mile’.
Schülke offers a range of infection prevention products including desderman Pure hand hygiene gel – a fast-acting alcohol based hand rub which is effective against bacteria, fungi and viruses. Colour and perfume free, desderman pure is said to be suitable for frequent use. The company can now also offer a new TouchLess hand decontamination system to dispense measured doses of desderman Pure liquid or Sensiva Wash Lotion. The company has recently introduced an antimicrobial wash mitt containing the active ingredient octenidine. Octenisan wash mitts are suited to use with bed-bound patients who require a decolonisation regime. Octenisan is effective against a broad range of micro-organisms, including multi-resistant strains, but its skin-friendly formulation is gentle on the skin.
