SCHMITZ AND SÖHNE, based in Wickede and Bönen, Germany, has received a ‘red dot’ award for product design – a sought-after seal of quality with international recognition.
Some 1,800 manufacturers and designers from 58 countries registered for the competition, with a total of 4,515 products. Schmitz and Söhne won the award with its new ‘conzentrum plus’ range of modular cabinets. The wall-mounted cabinet system has a modular configuration that provides an optimal solution for space management in gynaecological examination rooms in a hospital or medical practice. Functionality is complemented by attractive visual accents such as a decorative LED light strip. The cabinets are available in a range of attractive colours. Schmitz and Söhne have now been awarded the ‘red dot’ award for the sixth time. The official prize giving was held in July at the ‘red dot’ gala in Essen’s Aalto Theatre.
