For over 180 years, Eschmann has been manufacturing and delivering high quality operating tables into the world’s operating theatres.

Developed with input from leading surgical professionals and building on the reputation and popularity of Eschmann’s leading T Series range of operating tables, the latest model in the range, the new TX200, provides the next step in the evolution of Eschmann’s successful operating table.

Drawing inspiration from a number of different tables in the range, including the T20, Eschmann’s most successful operating table, the TX200 provides the reliability and endurance that customers have come to associate with Eschmann.

Improving efficiencies

At the heart of the TX200’s philosophy lies a desire to offer a product that will allow the clinical staff to maximise the efficiency of today’s operating theatre environment. This has been achieved by adopting a versatile approach to the table’s design, resulting in a platform that can be configured to offer the widest range of positions to cater for the majority of clinical procedures being performed.

This versatility has been achieved by recognising the needs of today’s healthcare providers and by embracing new technologies and making the necessary improvements to the table’s architecture and control systems, without compromising the requirement to deliver value for money.

The TX200 is a fully electric table providing far greater accuracy in table positioning than was previously possible. Using state-of-the-art control and monitoring systems, the TX200 is able to provide smooth simultaneous movements, enabling advanced patient positioning.

Increased versatility

New compound angle movements that provide a greater degree of tilt and trend allow for improved surgical access and flexibility, together with a low minimum height of 600mm, extends its applications into the arenas of laparoscopic and bariatric surgery, without compromising the safety of the patient. These specialties require lower heights to bring the upper joint movements of the surgical team to the minimum position, resulting in less discomfort in the shoulder, back, elbow and wrist.

Superior table control is achieved with the introduction of a completely new digital handset which allows the operator to access the core movements of the operating table with a single button press. The three inch LCD screen provides live positioning information with tabletop height and angles clearly indicated. The handset is extremely intuitive and easy to use with audible and haptic feedback providing important user notifications.

The new base design enables improved C-arm access at lower table heights and greater clearance from the base in the caudally traversed position. The cut-outs located at both sides, foot and head ends of the table provide improved clinical access for the surgical team. The base has dual linked brake pedals to increase head end clinical access.

Often needed for patient recover, a pre-set chair position offers fast synchronised trend and break powered movements providing a flat support for the seat and an inclined support for the back. The auto-level position is achieved with a one button press and uses synchronised movements ensuring a swift return to level, critical in the event of an emergency.

Enhancing the TX200 flexibility and reliability, the table can be mains powered in the event of battery depletion or failure. Fully independent backup controls provide all of the table functions in the event of a handset failure. The re-styled standby panel is intuitive and easy to use. The illuminated switches sited on both sides of the table make locating the on/off switches easier when the table is covered by drapes during surgery.

Infection control continues to be of particular importance from both a clinical and ongoing maintenance perspective. New castor covers, collar mouldings and neoprene bellows help event fluid ingress and are easy to clean, helping further improve the turnaround times that have been an important feature of all Eschmann tables, over the years.
