P3 Medical has recently released a new design of its unique Tracheseal Tracheostomy dressing.
Following feedback from nursing staff the company now offer, in addition to the round version, an oval and a square dressing. The foam silicone layer has been reduced in size, which is possible due to its high absorption capacity, with the overall diameter of the dressing remaining at 7.5cm. This allows a larger area of adhesive surrounding the dressing, resulting in a better anatomical fit and more comfort for the patient.
This unique post-decannulation tracheostomy wound dressing accelerates the healing process and offers greater patient comfort following the removal of a tracheostomy tube. Centre button plate enables accurate and consistent location of the tracheostomy wound. Gentle pressing of the button plate prevents unwanted passage of air through the wound during actions such as talking, coughing and sneezing, thus aiding patient comfort and leading to a quicker recovery.
