May 2010
SIC has announced the addition of Cleanisept wipes to its range of decontamination products. Although manual disinfection is not an ideal method for decontamination, for items such as ultrasound probes it is the only practical option.

The wipes are impregnated with a disinfectant solution that is rapidly bactericidal and virucidal (including Papova virus). Commonly used alcohol wipes may cause material damage. However, Cleanisept wipes have been approved for use by various major ultrasound manufacturers and can be used with confidence. The product also contains no perfumes or colourants to reduce the possibility of users having allergic reactions.
