May 2010
CONVATEC’s HandyVac low vacuum wound drainage system is a completely closed system with two built-in non-return valves and drip chamber designed to prevent reflux, thereby helping to reduce the risks of retrograde infection.

Featuring easy-to-handle 125 mL bellows, HandyVac is designed to perform optimal suction without drawing tissue into the drains. The intention is to cause less trauma during the suction period and when removing the drain, compared to high-vacuum systems. Available with a wide range of connectors and accessories for a variety of wound drainage needs, it is compatible with the ConvaTec passive wound drainage system for continued gentle and effective drainage without suction.
