Improving hand hygiene with ingo-man smart

The challenges of improving hand hygiene compliance, which can be low, have been well researched. Lack of time, no direct feedback, unreliable data on actual behaviour and missing reminders in daily routine, are often the reasons why hand disinfection in the healthcare sector is not practised to the required level.

ingo-man® combines many strengths in one hygiene dispenser

With the ingo-man smart soap and hand sanitiser dispenser, the innovative company OPHARDT Hygiene has developed a real problem solver that improves hand hygiene in several digital ways.

The first approach is the integrated green ‘feedback’ LED in the Euro dispenser's body. The concept is as simple as it is clever: if the user applies the correct amount of hand disinfectant, the green LED flashes and gives the user positive feedback immediately after application.

Secondly, the ingo-man hygiene dispenser records every activation and transmits this data to the Kanary® software, also developed by OPHARDT Hygiene. With Kanary, hygiene professionals in clinics and hospitals can easily analyse hand hygiene behaviour at the click of a mouse. Targeted training can be carried out based on the data collected and Permanent digital analysis of the usage data from individual hygiene dispensers supports the optimisation of the dispenser location .

The Kanary software also records the filling levels of the hygiene dispensers in real time and creates automated tasks for the service staff if critical filling levels are reached.

The ingo-man also has proven features that have been continuously enhanced since its market launch in 1967. First and foremost, this includes the manufacturer-independent Euro bottle standard, which gives clinics and hospitals a free choice of which consumables such as soap and sanitisers they want to use.
